- Motorcraft fuel delivery modules (FDM) are designed and calibrated as an integral component of the complete fuel system
- Features include:
o Lifetime fuel filter under normal conditions
o In-tank location minimizes noise and vibration inside the vehicle
o Anti drain-back design supports quick starts and minimizes cranking time
o Connectors and fittings designed for positive, sure connections that resist leakage and breaking

- Durability test specification – equivalent to 10 years/150,000 miles
- Designed for long life – each Motorcraft FDM is subjected to over 70 laboratory and in-vehicle tests, including:
o Performance testing for thousands of hours – covering all electrical and fuel-level operating ranges
o EMC/RFI/ESD testing ensures the FDM does not interfere with other vehicle systems
o NVH testing helps ensure quiet and smooth pump operation at all speeds, loads and fuel levels
o Durability and performance testing using inferior quality fuels helps ensure optimum performance in adverse conditions
o Additional adverse condition testing uses blends and additives like methanol, ethanol, stabilizers and additives at levels that exceed most regulations and/or product user instructions
