Stepping up in these challenging times.

At Motorcraft^®, we understand that current circumstances mean added responsibilities, and helping you keep your vehicle on the road can at this time be essential. Even more important is the health and safety of our customers, dealership employees and dealers. As a result, we are implementing extra care measures. They include social distancing, providing masks and gloves for dealership employees and extensive use of hand sanitizer and other disinfectant products at the workplace. We also want to share these helpful reminders:

Cleaning your vehicle

In general, take the time to be thorough. The emphasis should be on high-touch surfaces, like the steering wheel, safety belts, cupholders, the shifter and even your key fob. Use bleach wipes or alcohol-based cleaners. Replace your cabin filters and spray them with a commercial disinfectant.

Taking extra care at the pump

Keep your hands from touching the pump handle (it’s dirtier than a toilet seat). Disposable gloves are best, but a paper towel works too. Keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in your car and use it both before and after pumping. And of course, maintain the six-foot rule if there are other customers.

Remember to follow both of these activities with the most important cleaning tip of all: Wash your hands, with warm water and soap, for a minimum of 20 seconds.
